Mercedes w204 tail light holder - FIXED!!!
Lately, while wife is driving and claims that she heard noise like a reversing sensor triggered, although without engaging reverse gears. Here goes the breakdowns.
Symptoms:
-reversing sound in cabin.
-light blinking.
Diagnosis:
open up the back compartment to access the lights. Those light bulbs are attached to the holders. , check to see if there is burn patches...(mostly likely)
For my case it is burned which is the usual case, and you will need to fixed it immediately as this is fire hazard.
Parts:
1. you need: mine is the right side. (looking from the back) model A2048201600, surprisingly it all comes with bulbs attached.
2. those black connectors. (2115450328)
3. those pins ( not sure the part number, if anyone can help) I'd be gladly appreciate it.
Tools:
1. wire cutter.
2. electrical tape
3. Pin remover tools
4. cloth
5.gloves.
after replacing all those parts, test it , and check are those lights balance. if not , remove the other side holder and wipe those bulbs with the cloth, i am sure it's just dirt.
Happy fixing.
